Reverse Floor Horse

Another one of the Major Hand Postures is the Reverse Floor Horse.  From its name one can gather its general position – a Floor Horse facing up.

In this posture you are actually reclined with your palm on the floor slightly behind you and your legs together while lifting yourself up in the air such that your feet and hands are holding up your body weight.

Generally in this position your shoulders rounded backwards and your shoulder blades are squeezing together.  In this position you will have a temptation to rise your belly in the air but to get the full effect of the position keep your hip tucked under.  Done like this you will feel the focus of the exercise on your upper back and the hamstrings.

The video has some step by step instructions on how to get into the position.
