Massage Points for lower back
Another good way to alleviate or at least manage lower back pain is through massage. Massage can help to realign the body by correcting the effects of muscular constriction.
If you cant get a massage therapist to work on you then you can try out the “poor persons massage” by either finding a relaxed position to sit or lay in and then using your thumb, fingers or heel of you palm to rub out the areas or laying on a tennis ball to massage out the tension (or you can use a harder object if you have stone like muscles). First apply pressure to the affected area – reposition until you feel you got the area. You will know that you have it when you feel a nice ache. Then either hold the pressure on the area or slowly knead the area with your hand or make small circles with your body on the tennis ball. Repeat this for about 30 seconds to 2 minuets for each spot.
The circled regions in these pictures are general areas that are designed to release tension of the muscles that ultimately lead to less pressure and pain in the lower back. These areas for the most part are related to acupuncture points.

The next two regions are a combination of local and adjacent points. They are local because they are on the opposite side of low back pain, and adjacent because they a re not actually touching the lower back.
